Geocaching is a very popular ‘treasure hunt’ activity. Geocaches are hidden all over the world. They vary in size and design, but all are hidden and take some searching out. Caches usually contain a pen and a log-book so the people who find them can record their names. They may also contain small treasures, or trackable items that can be picked up and moved to other caches.
You can find out all about geocaching and get the official app from www.geocaching.com.
Geocaching is a great family activity giving everyone a reason to get outside and explore new places.
A series of caches have been hidden along the length of the Don Valley Way. The caches are large enough to contain our wonderful salmon trackables.
Can you find a salmon, and maybe help it upstream to spawn, or take it back to the coast or even overseas to new feeding grounds?
